Technical Buyer (32-40 hours)

Are you the Technical Buyer who ensures our projects have the right materials, at the right time and at the best conditions?

As a Technical Buyer, you are responsible for the timely, high-quality and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, technical services and outsourced work. You act as the link between engineering, work preparation, production, warehouse operations and suppliers. Thanks to your technical insight, commercial skills and organizational abilities, projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

SDK Engineering specializes in engineering, construction and technical projects for industrial applications, with a strong focus on the electrification of heavy industrial machinery. To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Technical Buyer who can help take our organization to the next level with their expertise.

What will you do?

• Purchase technical materials, components and services.

• Request, evaluate and compare supplier quotations.

• Negotiate prices, delivery times and commercial terms.

• Manage and follow up on purchase orders.

• Coordinate material requirements with Engineering and Work Preparation.

• Monitor delivery schedules and project timelines.

• Maintain and develop supplier relationships.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

• Manage item data and purchasing information in Dynamics NAV.

• Review order confirmations, invoices and contracts.

What do we expect from you?

• MBO+ / Associate Degree or Bachelor's level of working and thinking.

• Technical education or proven technical affinity.

• Preferably at least 3 years of experience as a Technical Buyer or in a similar role.

• Experience within machine building, steel construction, metalworking or industrial engineering is an advantage.

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics NAV, is an advantage.

• Knowledge of technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Analytical, accurate and results-oriented.
