CHD-400e: The Power of Emission Reduction and Sustainability
In a world where strict emission regulations limit mobility and the pressure to operate more sustainably is ever-increasing, the Combined Hybrid Drive - Electric (CHD-400e) offers an electric solution suitable for heavy equipment. This advanced technology, developed by SDK Engineering, gives companies the freedom to work wherever they want, without compromising on power, ease of use, or the environment.
The CHD-400e is built on innovation and technological advancement. With a powerful electric motor, a modular battery pack, and a range extender, this system offers several advantages:
How does the CHD-E work?
The CHD-E is a collaboration between a battery pack and electric motor, where the integrated logic manages all internal controls. It is a plug and play solution. The battery pack charges via a standard power connection and can remain connected non-stop during operation.
E-Mode
The CHD-E operates 100% electrically, giving it an advantage over standard installations with only a combustion engine. The CHD-400-E uses the internally stored energy in the battery pack. This battery pack works together with the electric motor to convert the energy so it can be used for a wide range of tasks.
(Plug-in) Hybrid Mode
The CHD-E is just as reliable in operation as a conventional machine. If there is no or insufficient mains power available and/or the battery pack falls short of the required energy demand, it can be manually switched to hybrid mode. The range extender then provides additional energy on top of the battery pack, ensuring continuity of operations. Even in hybrid mode, the electric mode is the base, and only for additional energy needs does the range extender step in. This results in the most efficient working method possible. Downtime is a thing of the past, and the installation is just as reliable as a conventional machine.
Greening
The CHDe can be installed in almost any machine where a combustion engine provides the power. As a retrofit, the CHDe is installed and replaces the existing engine with a fully electric drive. New build is also an option; the CHDe is then placed in the machine and can replace the conventional engine. The CHDe is also flexible for the future—should regulations change further, the range extender can be replaced by almost any type of combustion engine, such as hydrogen, biogases, and more, making it future proof! Additionally, the CHDe is available in various power ranges; contact us to discuss the possibilities for you!
