Electric Retrofit of the Woltman 5021 Piling Crane for Heicoop – Completed!
We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed the retrofit project for Heicoop. In collaboration with Van den Heuvel Werkendam, we have upgraded the Woltman 5021 piling crane with a fully electric system using the CHD400e. The project began with the removal of the old combustion engine and now, after a careful installation and extensive testing, the machine is ready for use.
From Combustion Engine to Fully Electric
The CHD400e electric motor, together with the battery pack, has been successfully integrated into the crane. SDK Engineering prepared and built the entire electrical system, consisting of:
Completion and Testing Phase
After installation, the crane was extensively tested. The software was uploaded and checked, and after various inspections and practical tests, the Woltman 5021 now operates properly in both hybrid and fully electric modes. The project has been successfully completed and the crane is ready to get to work on new, emission-free projects.
Benefits of the Retrofit
Thanks to the installation of the CHD400e, the Woltman 5021 piling crane is now flexibly deployable for a wide range of projects. The machine can operate completely emission-free, contributing to sustainable construction practices. In addition, the crane can be used at locations without a power connection, making it suitable for both urban and remote construction sites.
